In memory of an Australian Hero

Corporal Cameron Baird VC MG died how he lived - at the front, giving it his all, without any indecision. He will forever be remembered by his mates and the soldiers he served with in the 2nd Commando Regiment.

Who is Cam's Cause?

A volunteer team of family and friends

Cams Cause is a not for profit organization which strives to honor and remember the amazing life of CPL Cameron Baird VC MG.

By doing so, Cam's Cause hopes to raise awareness of the incredible work performed by the Australian military. In particular the modern day warfare of Afghanistan and the physical and psychological cost that comes with it.

Where does our money go?

Raising funds to assist soldier welfare

80% of funds raised by Cams Cause goes directly to the 2nd Commando Regiment.
The Human Performance Wing of the Regiment has designed special "wellness and wilderness camps" for dealing with and more so the prevention of psychological issues that come with service. These camps are available for all serving and ex serving Commandos and have proven to make a difference in assisting in the recovery from physical and mental injuries.

A portion of our funds go towards the Commando Welfare Trust which is a charity that provides support for the families of Fallen or injured Commandos.

We also fund smaller initiatives aimed at providing awareness for the modern day soldier and the amazing work they do.

All the work we do is in honour of Cpl Cameron Baird VC MG and are designed to keep his story alive and honour his life. We hope by doing so it raises awareness for all the lives lost in Afghanistan and the lives still effected by injuries, either mental or physical.

The Commando
