Commencing in 2021 in the NRL ANZAC Day round fixture, the Gold Coast Titans awarded the Corporal Cameron Baird VC MG Memorial Trophy to the person on the field that exemplified leadership, the way the Cameron did.
Cameron was a Titans member himself, and his parents Doug and Kaye remain so to this day. This year, the Gold Coast Titans will carry Cameron’s legacy when facing The Dolphins during NRL’s ANZAC Round on Sunday 23 April at Suncorp Stadium to commemorate the 10 year anniversary since his death (Cameron was Killed in Action on 22 June, 2013).
Following the game, each Titans player will sign their match worn jersey which will be auctioned, with half of the proceeds donated to Cam’s Cause. #aspiretoinspire
