Battlefield Blue was created by Ron Davis for the awareness of PTSD and Depression amongst our servicemen and women who suffer the invisible wounds. Ron is a multi-award-winning Artist who has a unique ability to recycle lead into wonderful works of art. Lead was a familiar material; before Ron emigrated to south-west Victoria in 2010 and had made lead sculptures to exhibit at the famous Chelsea Flower Show. The Battlefield Blue poppies have been handmade from the spent lead of 303 bullets, which have been collected by Ron from the Kyneton historical rifle range in Victoria. The Battlefield Blue Poppy symbolize the transformation of destruction into something of beauty. The blue poppies aim to raise awareness of PTSD and depression.
